Drop-in centre gets a much needed kitchen renovation

Despite having had a kitchen renovation done three years ago in her home-come-drop in centre, homeowner Debbie says there were quite a few flaws in the design. “There was very little bench space, no room for a table, limited space for more than 2-3 people to work and the flooring was dark grey heavy tiles,” she says.

Reno Rumblers, Renee and Sarah, therefore had their work cut out for them with a specific design brief to provide more benchspace to work, more storage and space for a large dining table for people to gather at lunchtime. They went above and beyond, creating a beautiful, traditional style kitchen with all the modern conveniences you could ever need.

The shaker style doors with the burnished brass handles are a wonderful combination and perfect for this space and style of the house. The choice of Caesarstone benchtops in the brand new marble-inspired colour, Staturio Maximus looks amazing, and gold backs in the open shelves add warmth and an additional laying of luxe.

Internally, the pull out pantry, Le Mans corner carousel and dedicated Spice Drawers and Knife Racks will help keep this hard-working kitchen organised. The butler’s pantry continues the look and is a clever addition in a house that needs more than one prep space.

“This fantastic Freedom Kitchen will enable people who attend our Drop-In every week, to sit together at lunch time in a bright, light spacious and functional room.  We now have a kitchen where everyone can work in, share meals and enjoy!” says Debbie.
